Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic is situated in the South-Eastern part of Europe. It borders with Ukraine and Moldova. Territory-4163 km2.

The capital is the city of Tiraspol (129 367 thousand people).

The largest cities are bender, Ribnita, Dubossari.

In administrative-territorial respect the Republic is divided into 5 districts and 8 cities. On administrative-territorial structure is unitary state.

The territory of Pridnestrovie is characteristic the plain relief with rare beams. More than 80% of the land is humus. The vegetation is classical steppe, in floodplains of the River is meadow. Most of the land of the Republic is ploughed. Forests cover 10% of the territory of Pridnestrovie. The climate is temperate continental, rainfall indicates that the region is in the area of insufficient hydration. Winter is short, mild (the average temperature in January is 3.9 degrees Celsius). Warm, protracted autumn.

The landscape is divided into two areas along the Jagorlyk River valley. The northern part of the Republic is a steppe plain formed by terraces of the Dniester river and the Spurs of Podolsk Hill, with deep (up to 150 meters) canyonvalleys of the tributaries of the Dniester River. Forests are preserved mainly on the steep slopes of the Dniester river, there are several small rivers, most of which shallow and summer dry.

Minerals: building limestone, gravel, glass sands, ceramic clay and loams.

The animal world is quite diverse, but many species are listed in the Red Book as Vanishing: roe, wild boar, hare, partridge, pheasant, fox, otter, ermine. Significant fish stocks, including sturgeon.
